Haz. Runi – my family name, it's Bengali. Turns out Runi does have a meaning – it means wisdom, and that brings me joy.

London’s home for me. It was a chaotic childhood, a big family. Siblings and cousins. Yep, lots of cousins. Mum pushed us into sports. I played tennis, although it wasn’t really for me. I was more into books.

Like many kids my age, it was Harry Potter that inspired me. I’d say I’m a HP nerd. Ricky and Andy introduced me and sparked that curiosity. I just wanted to be part of the gang. I definitely wanted that letter and I guess the disappointment was real.

It led me to write in my teens. Short stories and poetry. Mr Silva encouraged me to take it to university and beyond that, I guess I was looking for a career. On reflection, perhaps I should have said yes to that deal. No regrets though—it didn’t feel right. I do trust my heart.

I love travelling when I can. There are so many places I haven’t seen, and as a coastal person, Bali is definitely at the top of my list.

Recently, I’ve discovered baking—it’s my love language. I’m always up for trying new things, keeping busy and filling my time with new experiences.
