deadgood x Design Conformity

At deadgood, we’re passionate about creating beautiful, functional furniture that stands the test of time, designed and made with sustainability at the heart of everything we do. With this in mind, we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Design Conformity (dc).
"deadgood's attention to detail, style and passion for creating circular products was evident right from the beginning"

Design Conformity is an independent circular design standard that works with furniture manufacturers across the UK and Europe to reduce and report the carbon impact of their products. Their expertise has already certified over 1,500 product designs for globally recognised brands, making an impact in retail outlets, car showrooms, cafes and even playgrounds. Now, they’re bringing that knowledge and innovation to the commercial interors sector.

According to Adam Hamilton-Fletcher, Founder & Director of dc:

"The office interior industry is a new sector for us, but we quickly identified deadgood as one of the most sustainable furniture manufacturers we’ve seen. Their attention to detail, style, and passion for creating circular products was evident right from the beginning and we're very proud to support them."

What the Certification Means

Each certified product receives a Design Conformity Circular Design Certificate ad a Carbon Label, independently evaluating its carbon impact across its full life cycle. The certificate covers key sustainability metrics, such as:

  • Carbon Efficiency: Measuring the product’s carbon footprint over its 1st life cycle and potential 2nd life carbon footprint, including materials, sourcing, production, distribution and end-of-life processing.
  • Deconstructability: The ease with which products can be dismantled for repair, reuse, or recycling.
  • Recycled, Recyclable and Reused Content: The percentage of recycled and recyclable materials, used in manufacturing, as well as the components designed for reuse in new products.
  • Renewable Content: The use of sustainable, renewable materials in production.

These metrics provide a transparent and quantifiable rating that ensures our products meet the highest standards in circular design.
